This 3-day Drawing & Acrylic Painting Course introduces you to the essentials of drawing, sketching, and acrylic painting. Through three guided 1.5-hour sessions, you’ll start with sketching and shading, develop your concept on canvas, and finish with vibrant acrylic painting techniques that bring your work to life. Perfect for beginners and anyone looking to deepen their understanding of drawing and color. What You’ll Learn: • Sketching & Shading: Understand proportions, form, and depth as you sketch and work with shadows. • Color Mixing & Theory: Discover the color wheel and techniques to blend colors for harmony and contrast. • Canvas Preparation & Acrylic Techniques: Learn to transfer your sketch onto canvas and bring it to life with vibrant acrylics, using layering and brush techniques for detail and texture. What’s Included: • Three 1.5-hour classes with all materials provided (drawing paper, canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, and palettes) • Your own acrylic painting on canvas to take home COURSE SCHEDULE • Class 1: Sketching & Shading In the first session, you’ll begin with basic sketching skills, focusing on proportions and capturing shadows to create depth and form. By the end of this class, you’ll have a completed sketch, which will serve as the foundation for your painting. • Class 2: Canvas Preparation & Color Theory This session begins with transferring your sketch to the canvas. You’ll then explore the fundamentals of color theory, including the color wheel and blending techniques, gaining confidence in creating balanced and vibrant palettes with acrylics. • Class 3: Acrylic Painting Building on the previous classes, you’ll bring your sketch to life with acrylic paint, layering colors and adding details to complete your artwork. This final class focuses on techniques for texture, contrast, and balance, resulting in a finished piece ready to display. About the Teacher This course is led by Choki, a talented artist and tattooist known for his detailed and creative work at Florentina Tattoo. With Choki’s guidance, you’ll develop foundational skills and complete a beautiful, personalized acrylic painting.
