Workshop Description
Discover the art of wheel throwing in our 1.5-hour pottery workshop. In this session, you’ll learn the basics of working with clay on the wheel, from centering and shaping to finishing before the first firing. Note: Online bookings close 3 hours before the workshop. What You’ll Learn: • Clay Preparation: Discover where clay comes from and how to prepare it for use. • Wheel Techniques: Learn how to use the wheel, sit comfortably, and master centering, opening, and shaping. • Finishing: Finish your pieces before the first firing. What’s Included: • 1.5-hour pottery workshop • All materials and tools provided • Bisque firing included • Option for glazing if desired (useable for food purposes) Workshop Details In this 1.5-hour workshop, you’ll focus on wheel throwing techniques to create pottery pieces ready for the first firing. Cancellation Policy
You may reschedule your booking up to 24 hours in advance. No-shows or late cancellations will be charged 100% of the booking fee due to our studio’s small size and preparation costs. Thank you for understanding and supporting our creative space! Note: For workshops with clay (ceramic handbuilding or pottery), please keep in mind that your pieces need time to dry before they are fired in the kiln. Depending on the weather, it usually takes 7-14 days for your creations to be ready for pickup.
